Josh Smith: Electrician, Veteran, Builder
Josh Smith grew up on job sites. His grandfather, now 82 years old, still pours concrete. His family built things with their hands (foundations, walls, wiring, roofs), and that work ethic was bred into his bones before he was old enough to hold a level. Growing up in a contractor family taught Josh something that no certification program ever could: the difference between doing a job and doing a job right.
After high school, Josh enlisted in the United States Navy. Military service sharpened the discipline and accountability he had learned at home, adding structure, precision, and a deep commitment to finishing what you start. When his service ended, Josh knew exactly what he wanted to do: work for himself, serve his community, and build something he could be proud of. That vision became HOLISTIQ Building Systems and Services LLC.
Today, Josh is a licensed electrician, a certified solar installer, and one of the select Zehnder America-certified energy recovery ventilation installers in Virginia. He brings a rare combination of hands-on expertise and professional credentials to every project he takes on across Central Virginia. Whether it is a residential panel upgrade in Lynchburg, a commercial solar installation in Bedford, or an ERV system in a new-construction home in Moneta, Josh personally handles the consultation, design, installation, and final inspection.
