NEMA 14-50 Outlet
A 240-volt receptacle the charger plugs into. Flexible if you ever move or swap units, and the charger comes off the wall if needed. Good for plug-in units rated at 40 amps or less. We size the circuit and outlet to the charger so it runs at full output.
Hardwired
The charger wires directly into a dedicated circuit, no plug. Required for higher-amperage units and often the cleaner, more permanent install. Best when you know the charger is staying and you want maximum charging speed your panel can support.
